Centralised procurement is linked to project planning. Multiple vendor arrangements, rate benchmarking and purchase orders with quality terms support material buying. Advance ordering of long lead items is part of this approach.

Quality systems include method statements, inspection and test plans for major activities, incoming material checks and third party testing. Project specific HSE plans, toolbox talks, risk assessments and permit to work controls form part of the documented site safety process.
